Our Kaukauna, WI plant is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern for June through August 2026.
Pay Rate
- $26 per hour
What You Get To Do!
- Environmental Compliance: Support programs for air permitting, wastewater and stormwater management, waste handling, landfill operations, inspections, and laboratory documentation/testing.
- Sustainability Projects: Plan and lead initiatives to reduce energy use, water consumption, and landfill waste, tracking results with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Regulatory Oversight: Interpret environmental laws, prepare and update EMS plans, permits, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct compliance inspections, assist with internal audits, participate in regulatory inspections, and audit third-party vendors.
- Reporting & Data Management: Prepare reports, permits, data tables, and maps; research regulations; compile and evaluate environmental data; and use data mapping to automate compliance.
- Collaboration & Training: Communicate with internal teams, government agencies, and external partners; follow all safety practices; and help deliver environmental training and department support.
Requirements
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Actively pursuing an Environmental Engineering degree or program
- Living in or willing to relocate to the assigned location for the duration of the position
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position
- Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in the use of PCs and Microsoft Office Suite software
- Technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities
