Mechanical Engineer Intern
Intern Mechanical Engineer - McKenzie, TN
As a mechanical engineering intern, you will be a part of a team delivering solutions for customers and clients that seek to streamline the way Allegion does business. Working on a team that works to solve business problems in creative and efficient ways, you will learn to think outside of the box, implement scalable solutions, and follow the best practices of Allegion.
What You Will Do:
- Deepen your understanding of new product development and an engineered to order business.
- Participate in development discussions and implement solutions on real projects
- Work with a team to produce well-rounded solutions.
- Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
What You Need to Succeed:
- Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of Junior year at start of internship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD and 3D Solid Modeling)
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication a plus
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with complex data
- Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
- Able to work independently or in a team, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills
- Motivated to learn and contribute to impactful projects
