What you’ll do: As an Automation Intern, you’ll work in a Manufacturing Engineering environment and gain experience in robotics, programming, and industrial automation.
Duties / Responsibilities of this position:
- Work in a manufacturing environment, developing new automation and improving current systems
- Assembling, plumbing, wiring robotic End-Of-Arm tools
- Modifying existing robotic programs
- Improving injection molding cycle times
- Reporting results regularly to the group
- Providing floor call support and addressing GEMBA items
- Improving OEE & reduce scrap
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience/Training:
- Currently enrolled in a Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Some prior programming and design experience is generally desirable.
- Versed in CAD software.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with equipment.
- Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.

Physical Demands Analysis:
- Continuous standing on manufacturing floor
- Moderate lifting is required
- Build, repair, and maintain robotic tooling
- Continuous computer work
- Adept at following safety standards in manufacturing
- Rare climbing stairs, bending, and stooping
- Personal Protective Equipment Requirements (PPE): safety shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE.
