Low Carbon Technologies is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Summer Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Director of Program Supply Chains.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our team. The selected candidate will closely collaborate with the Director of Supply Chains and assist in introducing our certification programs to both Beef x Dairy (BxD) cattle producers and Dairy producers across various stages of the supply chain. The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural sustainability, data management, and compliance reporting.
Specific duties and key responsibilities for this Internship include, but are not limited to,
- Serve as a positive representation of the Low Carbon Technologies Mission and Core Values
- Assist in the outreach and introduction of LCT's certification programs to BxD cattle producers, emphasizing the benefits of reduced GHG emissions and carbon credits
- Manage and analyze data using LCT’s proprietary data platform to ensure candidate cattle meet certification criteria for both beef and dairy production
- Support activities related to the USDA's AMP Grant initiative, including enrollment of producer participants and data management related to enrolled cattle
- Help develop compliance reporting materials for the AMP Grant, ensuring adherence to USDA guidelines and standards
- Conduct research and analysis to inform strategic decisions regarding supply chain initiatives
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and outreach strategies
- Potentially travel domestically (up to 30%) to meet with producers and attend relevant workshops or events
- A Summer Intern's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Community-oriented mindset Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with producers and team members
- Familiarity with agricultural production processes, particularly in beef and dairy sectors, is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to travel domestically as required
