The City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department is looking for responsible and customer-focused Rental Site Monitors to oversee rentals at the Kentwood Library Community Room and the Kentwood Activities Center.
This part-time position is perfect for someone who values flexibility, enjoys being around community events, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for guests.
What You’ll Do
As a Rental Site Monitor, you will:
Open and close facilities, maintaining responsibility for building keys, alarms, lighting, sound, and HVAC systems.
Welcome renters, review rental contracts, and answer questions at the start of each event.
Complete pre- and post-rental inspections to ensure the space is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Be available during events to address renter needs and enforce facility rules when necessary.
Report any damage or equipment issues and help ensure proper care of the facility.
Maintain a courteous, professional, and helpful presence throughout the event.
About You
You’re reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented. You’re comfortable handling responsibilities independently and enjoy making sure spaces are ready for guests.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Pay & Perks
Hourly pay range: $16.00 - $18.00
