Job description:

**PLEASE read the entire ad before applying. The short version of this description is:

  • Location: Perspective Leadership Academy (8522 S Lafayette Ave, Chicago, IL 60620).
  • Pay: $120 per 2 classes (per day).
  • Dates: October 8thth to October 29th, 2025.
  • Grades: 5th to 8th.
  • Schedule: every Wednesday, from 3:30PM - 5:30PM
  • Nexplore Enrichments (www.nexploreusa.com): is an after-school program. You will be teaching our Coding with Scratch class.

Qualifications:

  • Part-time, Temporary Position.
  • Passion for education and fostering the joy of learning in children.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Educational (development or training) experience.
  • Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
  • Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints.
  • Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in various science activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.
  • Facilitate sports and educational activities, adapting to the needs of individual participants.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding camper progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized camp space, ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for use.
