Mechanical Maintenance ZM Engineer Co-Op

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Maintenance ZM Engineer  Co-Op to join our ZMills team. This role is a great opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This co-op position offers a valuable opportunity to build a life and gain hands-on experience in an industrial setting.

 

Required Skills

The successful candidate must be proficient in the following computer skills:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word

 

Daily Activities and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Co-op will be responsible for the following daily activities:

  • Convert physical documents to digital format.
  • Organize digital prints and documents.
  • Track hydraulic tank levels.
  • Create hydraulic binders for the ZMills.
  • Submit monthly reports detailing daily tasks and progress on the special assignment/project.

 

Special Assignment / Project

A key component of this co-op is the completion of a special assignment that the student will work on monthly or by the end of the summer employment.

The assigned projects are:

  • Convert all mechanical prints for ZMills to Google Drive and organize them according to machine code. Note: This project level suggests a major in a field like Engineering to understand the prints.
  • Finalize all hydraulic binders for the mills.

The student will also be required to submit a summary of work towards the completion of this special assignment/project in their monthly reports.

This co-op position is a paid opportunity for the summer of 2026. Student will be able to co-op a maximum of 40 hours a week.
