Innovation Center Intern

Candidate should possess the following:

• An excitement about new product design, and willingness to work in an industrial environment hands-on (Innovation Center or lab equivalent)
• A “team player” attitude
• Experience designing and working with Solidworks in-depth
• CAD experience
• Preferably: experience working with designing products
• Preferably: experience working in an industrial environment, lab, or other

Goals of the role:

• Supporting the technical teams in the IC to take concepts from “notes” to execution
• Working with the product team to assess viability
• Working with the patent and legal teams to assess viability
• Collaborating with sales on market potential and viability
• Develop priority list and business case for each design
• Start to iterate on prototyping top priority designs

Daily work within the role:

• Work in CAD to simulate and design concepts
• Work with team members who conceptualized concepts to bring them to more life and detail
• Work with sales and marketing team to understand market viability
• Meet with product teams to review and develop
• Working with all teams in the IC: dispense, mechanical joining, and vision
  
   

Note: there will be additional time for this internship to work on the global project assigned by ITBA leadership. Approximately 20 hours per week will be allocated to the GIP project team.
