Youth Specialist

The Youth Specialist plays a critical role in Wolverine Human Services’ mission of “Helping Children and Families to be Victors.” This position is responsible for supervising and guiding clients through daily activities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment, and supporting the development of individualized treatment plans. Youth Specialists are essential to maintaining structure, safety, and therapeutic support for the children and families served by Wolverine Human Services

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.

Experience working with youth in a residential or child welfare setting strongly desired.

Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.

Ability to supervise and manage group activities safely and effectively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required depending on program needs.
