Join our team and gain hands-on experience supporting construction safety and loss control across a range of active projects. As a Safety Intern, you’ll work closely with our Safety Director, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Safety Managers to ensure safe working environments and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day safety operations on active construction sites and in the office
- Assist in identifying, reporting, and correcting unsafe practices or conditions
- Participate in preplanning, toolbox, and safety committee meetings
- Contribute to training sessions, orientations, and safety-related communications
- Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company policies
- Help promote safe work practices that align with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with jobsite inspections alongside Field Safety Managers or Superintendents
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, OSHA logs, and training records
- Help manage SDS and chemical inventories
- Support worker orientation programs and record participation
- Conduct research and provide administrative support for safety initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with both field and office personnel
- Reliable transportation to and from project sites
Working Conditions
- Work may be performed in both office and construction site environments
- Exposure to outdoor weather, moving equipment, and other typical construction conditions
- Must be comfortable walking or standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds
