Accounting Intern
Job Description Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting accounts payable and general accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with our accounting team and develop practical skills in a professional environment.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with bank reconciliations and account reviews.
Process vendor invoices, maintain vendor files, and reconcile vendor statements.
Ensure proper documentation (W-9s, 1099s, etc.) is collected and accurate.
Support invoice tracking, coding, and variance resolution with other departments.
Assist with filing, expense reporting (Concur), and preparation of simple reports.
Contribute to month-end close tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Collaborate with team members on ad-hoc accounting projects.
What We’re Looking For:
Associate’s degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and accounting/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
