Social Editor Intern

Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
Compensation: $16.50/hour
Duration: January 2026 – March 2026
Hours: Part-time (20–25 hours per week; extended hours during Fashion Week)

 

About the Role

We are seeking a Social Editor Intern to join our Fashion Week digital media team. This role is for a highly creative and fast-paced storyteller who can capture, edit, and publish real-time social content during Fashion Week. You’ll work across platforms to document moments backstage, during runway shows, and behind the scenes, spotlighting participating designers and the energy of Fashion Week from a raw, authentic perspective.

You’ll collaborate closely with our media, communications, and production teams to bring the Fashion Week experience to life through short-form video, photography, and social storytelling.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture behind-the-scenes content during fittings, backstage prep, and runway shows.
  • Edit and publish photo and video content in real time across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X, etc.).
  • Develop daily content schedules and assist in managing live coverage throughout Fashion Week.
  • Craft compelling captions, headlines, and stories that align with the brand’s tone and voice.
  • Coordinate with designers’ PR and social teams to tag and credit participating brands.
  • Maintain strong awareness of trending sounds, visuals, and social moments within the fashion and cultural landscape.
  • Support post-show content recap and media archiving.
     

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university (preferred majors: Journalism, Media, Film, Communications, or Fashion Marketing).
  • Strong experience in short-form video creation and editing (Reels, TikTok, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and current trends.
  • Excellent visual eye and attention to aesthetic detail.
  • Ability to work quickly and professionally in a high-pressure, creative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable navigating backstage and interacting with industry professionals.
  • Experience working at live events, runway shows, or content creation in the fashion industry is a plus.
