IT Infrastructure Intern

Our Summer Intern program gives students an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, exposure to key leaders, group projects, time to build relationships with other Interns, and so much more!

Opportunity:  

The intern will Assist with taking and resolving Help Desk support calls and complete MAC tickets. They will act as a resource to complete various tasks for IT projects. They will get to shadow each of the various IT disciplines and participate with the teams that provide day to day support for the business. 
Deliver day-to-day end user and operational support across the organization.  

Specific Responsibilities:  

  • Assist with replacing end of life equipment (hardware lifecycle).  The design review, configuration, and install of this equipment will give the intern real-life hands-on experience.   
  • Assist the Server and Network teams with server and network administration and upgrades.  One probable assignment will be upgrading memory on 250+ thin clients for the ThinOS 10 upgrade. 
  • Assist with IT help desk across the department, computers, servers, network. 
  • Assist Tech Analysts with equipment set up, deployment, and retrieval. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

*Currently in college pursuing an undergrad degree in Computer Science, Networking, Systems Administration or related field. May consider a new graduate looking for an intern post-graduation.

*Understanding of laptop / desktop hardware and Windows 11 Operating Systems.

*Awareness of network concepts and systems administration, device configuration, and testing protocols.

*Must be detail oriented with essential communications skills both written and verbal.

*Soft skills, initiative, passion, willingness to learn and coachable are keys to success. 

*Familiar with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 

*Understanding of SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, and Web Content.

*Excellent written & verbal communication skills & the ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization. 

*Organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks and work against deadlines. 

*Ability to work independently, stay focused yet able to multitask between projects. 

 

​This position will be for a summer internship.  Virtual interviews will take place in January-February and the internship will start mid-May/early June and end in August.
