IT Applications Intern

Our Summer Intern program gives students an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, exposure to key leaders, group projects, time to build relationships with other Interns, and so much more!

Opportunity:  

The intern will work on extracting company data from various sources, transforming the data as required, storing data in a data warehouse, and creating BI reports for users.  The intern may also assist in data management and integration between our legacy platform and the new ERP platform. 

Specific Responsibilities:  

  • Analyze business data with assistance of data team. 
  • Determine and implement best data warehouse architecture based on data and business needs. 
  • Develop data warehouse load jobs to pull data on regular basis. 
  • Review team members jobs/code and test as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise.  
  • Assist in identifying data in existing legacy platform that is required in the ERP platform 
  • Develop method of transferring/connecting data to ERP platform 
  • Assist in determining and implementing a front end for the business users. This may include analyzing current business rules along with developing custom views using SQL scripts. This may also include integration with BI tool (Qlik).  
  • Assist in the data movement from existing legacy platform to the new ERP platform.

Skills & Qualifications: 

*Currently in college pursuing an undergrad degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field. May consider a new graduate looking for an intern post-graduation. 
*Familiar with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
*Understanding of SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, and Web Content.
*Knowledge of coding concepts languages, including Java and SQL, database experience.
*Experience with an ETL tool and/or data warehouse concepts a plus.
*Excellent written & verbal communication skills & the ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization. 
*Organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks and work against deadlines. 
*Ability to work independently, stay focused yet able to multitask between projects. 

​This position will be for a summer internship.  Virtual interviews will take place in November-December and the internship will start mid-May/early June and end in August.
