Internship Description

Oakland University Athletics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Athletics Development Intern to join the Development Department. This internship provides hands-on experience in fundraising, event management, and donor relations within a Division I athletic department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with basketball game day VIP suite operations and supporting game day hospitality efforts.

Managing all aspects of the 50/50 raffle during the men’s basketball season, including direct coordination with head coaches of each sport.

Assisting in the planning and execution of sport-specific fundraising activities and events.

Supporting the coordination and logistics for athletic department events such as the Hall of Honor, Black and Gold Awards, and Baseball Leadoff Dinner.

Performing general administrative duties and contributing to special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Interest in athletics administration, event management, or fundraising.

Additional Information:
This is an unpaid internship opportunity, with flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules. Candidates may be eligible for academic internship depending on their requirements. Some evening and weekend availability is preferred, particularly during basketball season and major events.
