Job purpose

This is an intern position for an Engineering Student in the Battery Systems business unit. The candidate will be responsible for projects related to customer satisfaction, quality improvement, problem solving and global alignment.
Key responsibilities

Customer Focus:

o Monitor and track customer complaints and warranty claims to identify recurring issues.
o Support root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as Shainin RedX, 8D,
and 5 Whys process to address customer concerns.
o Document and maintain records of corrective actions related to customer concerns.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective preventive measures and
improve customer satisfaction.
Quality Documentation:
o Assist in preparing materials and reports for the monthly Global Quality Managers
meeting.
o Collect, analyze, and interpret key quality performance indicators (KPIs) using Power Bi,
communicate trends and insight to stakeholders.
o Support the read-across of lessons learned to other plants or regions to promote global
quality improvement.
o Contribute to the development of advanced quality tracking system for upcoming product
launches.
o Other duties as assigned by the manager.
What we’re looking for

• Student working toward a bachelor’s degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferred)
• Willingness to learn tools such as 8D, 5 whys, Quality Alerts to resolve quality issues.
• Knowledge of the Automotive core tools (APQP, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
