Product Management & Strategy Intern

Midstone Service Group – Product Management & Technology Internship (Fall 2025)

Location: Remote | Commitment: 5–20 hours/week | Compensation: Unpaid

About Midstone & Our Thesis

Midstone is building a national platform of essential service businesses—via acquisition. We pair hands-on field expertise with a deep grasp of regulations so communities can thrive when infrastructure works and standards are met. Our proprietary platform, Midstone OS, helps organizations stay compliant by managing testing, maintenance, and regulatory reporting across critical systems.

About the Internship

Work directly with the founder (HBS MBA; ex-Bain; acquired 3 companies) on the continued development of Midstone OS and enhancements to the Midstone website. You’ll help define product features, improve user experience, and coordinate with developers to bring ideas to life. The role blends product management, design thinking, and light technical execution, giving you exposure to how technology scales an acquisition platform.

Key Responsibilities

Research user needs across compliance-driven industries (healthcare, industrial, utilities).

Translate feedback into feature specs, user stories, and wireframes for Midstone OS.

Collaborate with developers to prioritize and QA new features and product updates.

Help refine the Midstone OS dashboard—UX, flow, and reporting tools.

Enhance the Midstone website with improved visuals, copy, and navigation.

Track engagement metrics and summarize insights for product roadmap planning.

Document workflows, product decisions, and technical requirements.

What You’ll Gain

Direct mentorship (weekly 1:1s) and exposure to Midstone’s tech and investment strategy.

Hands-on experience in product management and UX design within a live operating environment.

Ownership of end-to-end development — you’ll be able to put on your résumé that you led and managed the full lifecycle of a live product (Midstone OS) and website enhancement project.

Training in low-code tools (e.g., v0, Framer, Webflow, Airtable, Retool).

Opportunities to participate in investor and leadership meetings tied to product and growth strategy.

Career support: resume reviews, mock interviews, and referrals for tech, consulting, and VC/PE roles.

A tangible portfolio project demonstrating your real-world impact on product and user experience.

Desired Qualifications

Interest in product management, UX/UI, or startup technology.

Strong organization, research, and communication skills.

Familiarity with no-code or low-code tools (v0, Framer, Webflow, Retool, etc.).

Technical literacy (HTML/CSS, APIs, or SQL experience a plus).

Entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
