General Accountant

We’re seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant who can bring a passion for organization and accounting to our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to learn, develop and prepare for future roles

Your Talents:

  • Process payroll bi-weekly and act as the liaison between AEP and payroll providers on answering questions and resolving issues
  • Obtain proper authorizations on invoices prior to AP entry and payment
  • Enter invoices for payment into the Accounts Payable system
  • Maintain vendor records and W-9 forms
  • Process ACH and check payments via Accounts Payable system
  • Quick to take action and resolve issues with vendors
  • Preparation and analysis of journal entries, reconciliations and other tasks associated with month-end close
  • Calculate and pay monthly sales and use tax payments
  • Reconcile daily sales/cash, bank statements and assist with other treasury related needs
  • Provide support for ad hoc accounting assignments as needed
  • Ability to work independently, learn new systems/processes quickly, prioritize tasks/assignments, and establish best practices

 

 

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Accounting, Finance experience preferred but not required
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Excel (knowledge of VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and perform functions necessary to work on a computer.
