Construction Project Intern
Construction Project Coordination Internship/Co-Op - Remote (Baltimore / DC area)
Full Time - 40 hours per week
Spring 2026 (January - May)
The Construction Project Intern will work alongside our program management team for nationwide national brands. The Intern will provide hands-on experience in project coordination by assisting with construction documentation, administration, and tracking of projects from pre-planning through construction and closeout. Interns will receive guidance and direction from Sr. Project Coordinators and Project Managers to help develop foundational skills within the construction industry.

You will work alongside experienced individuals as well as the opportunity to operate independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up projects in client and/or company project management systems, including uploading and organizing required documentation.
- Help update project status and key milestone dates under the direction of project team members.
- Support in drafting, distributing, and tracking contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to subcontractors/suppliers.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the duration of projects.
- Assist in verifying and processing payment documentation for contractors and vendors.
- Support the collection, coordination, and submission of close-out materials required by project owners.
- Participate in assembling and distributing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Learn and practice maintaining confidentiality with sensitive or proprietary project information.

- Build an understanding of the construction project lifecycle from real estate planning through closeout.
Qualifications:
- Lives in the Baltimore or DC area and ability to work in a remote setting
- In progress: 4-year degree in construction management, business management, or related field seeking project coordinator or project management positions post-graduation.
- Strong ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team including management, project management, clients, client’s organization, contractors, and vendors
- Ability to prioritize and handle diverse workload
- Willing to dive in, proactively ask for new things you can help with, desire to learn and ambition to excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to tolerate ambiguity and be able to work effectively within a diverse workplace
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing work environment
- Proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet, preferred
