Wolf Educator Internship
Position: Wolf Educator Intern-Summer term
Location: International Wolf Center, Ely, Minnesota
Duration: May 18, 2026 - August 23, 2026 (dates may be flexible to accommodate academic calendars and programming needs)
Hours:40+ hours per week including work on evenings, weekends, and holidays
Stipend: $1,000 per month (off-site housing is included)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct wolf education and natural history programs for the public and groups
- Teach large and small groups as well as answer wolf and natural history questions from visitors
- Lead occasional interpretive hikes and field trips
- Respond to wolf information inquiries by phone and e-mail
- Create projects for the education department as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Please note: Due the nature of our socialized pack, interns do not have direct contact with ambassador wolves

Qualifications:
- BS/BA or coursework in environmental education or related field
- Enrollment in a college or university
- Teaching experience / experience working with the public
- English fluency and effective communication skills in working with people of all ages
- High level of self-motivation and enthusiasm
- CPR and First Aid Certifications and valid driver’s license required
- Authorization to work in the United States required
