Supply Chain Intern Description:

Supply Chain Planning-Demand is a key function within LW E2E Planning organization. This team manages demand planning for all 1000+ SKUs  by providing a robust forecast and demand plan. They work in close collaboration with the Commercial teams  and  supply chain teams to create an accurate forecast. They work to create forecasts with highest accuracy and lowest bias.

A successful candidate understands basics of Supply Chain Planning – Demand forecasting. This individual will be responsible for creating the forecasting approach for C class skus which have low volume and intermittent demand. He / She will be responsible for creating a forecasting methodology and setting up standard evaluation metrics and measures for these skus.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create a framework to forecast C class skus  
  • Create cadence for review of forecasts for these skus
  • Create process framework of collaborating with commercial teams on these skus

 

Basic and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related program
  • Juniors, Seniors, or Master’s degree students preferred but also accepting recent grads
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet the Lamb Weston Authorized Driver standards
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong computer competency and experience using a tablet and/or iPhone
  • Experience with MS suite of products desirable
