Government Relations Internship - Spring & Summer 2026

Looking to start your professional experience? Join Casey's with an unforgettable internship! You'll gain meaningful experience, learn the business, and make an impact working in an area aligned to your major and interests. You'll build connections and relationships with other interns, coworkers, and leaders through onsite and offsite events. Casey's is a growing Fortune 500 company with opportunities to stay part-time during the school year or potentially turn your internship into a full-time role.

As a Government Relations Intern, you will assist the Government Relations team with public policy and advocacy across Casey’s footprint. You’ll support the team with legislative research by helping to track bills, analyze legislative trends, and prepare briefings on emerging policy issues. You will assist with policy development by drafting policy memos, position statements, and strategic recommendations. One key project that will be ongoing is the PAC Campaign transformation including the modernization of our Political Action Committee (PAC) strategy, marketing materials, and team member engagement. Another key initiative will be optimizing policy tools by helping to evaluate and enhance digital tools used for policy tracking, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots mobilization.

Internships are onsite at our Store Support Center in Ankeny, Iowa, where you'll volunteer within our community, attend social outings, learn from our senior leadership team, and make some pizzas, of course!
