Applications Team Leader
The Information Technology Department is seeking an Applications Team Leader to join their professional team. This position will supervise those who oversee and are subject matter experts in GIS, Cityworks, and Laserfiche. In addition, this position will manage multiple City Enterprise Applications and department specific systems. This is a great opportunity for those who want to provide support to internal stakeholders in implementing system solutions, enhancing functionality, or adding content. As well as help troubleshoot and resolve various technical issues including database integrity, performance, connectivity, and security.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS & TRAINING:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must pass Standard and Criminal Background Check/Fingerprinting.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; AND
- At least three (3) years of experience with various software applications, which may include: Learning Management Systems, Records Management Systems, Financial Systems, Geographical Information Systems, Asset Management, and websites.
- Experience providing work direction and/or supervising a team.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS INLCUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Stays informed about the strategic direction of product suites and software enhancements.
- Performs day-to-day administration tasks such as user management, configuration, license management, and database maintenance.
- Supervises staff and provides work direction, helps prioritize assignments, set up scope of work between customer and staff, and coordinates staffing level. Will also be overseeing employees who are subject matter experts in GIS, Cityworks, and Laserfiche. In addition, will provide feedback in performance evaluations.
- Conducts training sessions on various applications, including orientation for all new staff and specialized training in response to changing roles, business processes, and database functionality.
- Establishes and maintain various application documentation, procedures, and data management policies.
- Understands and configures XML, HTML, Python, SQL and JavaScript.
