Youth Worker Intern
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
We are looking for a Youth Worker Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting youth, education, and technology to gain valuable experience while helping to guide and mentor young learners through their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering training and support services to youth participants in our digital skills programs.
- Provide one-on-one or group support to help youth learners develop skills in digital technologies such as coding, data analysis, or AI.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages engagement, participation, and personal growth.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, learning activities, and digital skill-building events.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to youth learners, offering encouragement, answering questions, and supporting their progress in training programs.
- Support the creation of educational resources and materials tailored to the needs of youth learners.
- Monitor and track the progress of youth participants, offering feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Help organize and facilitate extracurricular activities like hackathons, coding competitions, or digital skill-building challenges.
- Contribute to the development of community outreach programs and initiatives to encourage youth involvement in digital skills training.
- Work closely with the team to provide insights on program improvements based on interactions with youth learners.

We provide data literacy and analytics training for Ethnic minorities with both migratory and low-socio economic backgrounds living in Scotland. We are a leading digital skills training provider dedicated to empowering individuals, particularly youth, with the skills needed to succeed in the digital age. Through hands-on learning, we offer training in fields such as coding, data science, AI, and digital literacy, helping young people unlock their potential and build careers in technology.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.
Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
