Social Media Marketing Intern

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media Content Creation - Intern with a passion for social media and digital marketing, particularly on TikTok & Instagram. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, trend research, analytics analysis, and audience engagement strategies. The intern will work closely with our marketing team to support the development and execution of our TikTok/ Instagram content strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Posting TikTok Videos
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of TikTok/ Instagram videos, aiming to publish the targeted videos per day to our company's TikTok/ Instagram account.
  • Trend Research
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, challenges, and viral content within the TikTok/ Instagram community. Conduct research to identify trending topics, hashtags, and formats relevant to our brand.
  • Content Gathering
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and gather content ideas for TikTok/ Instagram videos. Source diverse content, including user-generated content, product features, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Video Creation
  • Participate in the video creation process, including filming, editing, and adding creative elements to produce engaging TikTok/ Instagram videos.
  • Analytics Analysis
  • Assist in monitoring and analysing the performance metrics of TikTok/ Instagram videos using platform analytics tools. Track key metrics such as views, likes, shares, comments, and audience demographics.
  • Decision Making
  • Work with the marketing team to evaluate video performance data and make informed decisions to optimize content strategy and increase engagement. Adjust posting schedules and content themes based on performance insights.
  • Audience Engagement
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions on TikTok/ Instagram. Foster positive interactions, build relationships with the audience, and encourage user-generated content.

 

Qualifications

  • A degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong interest in social media marketing, specifically on TikTok and Instagram, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Basic understanding of video editing software and creative tools (e.g., Canva, TikTok's built-in editing features, Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw insights from performance metrics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative thinking and a willingness to contribute innovative ideas to the content strategy. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks. Enthusiasm for staying up to date on current trends and best practices in social media marketing.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and Excursions
Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
