Internship Details:
Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
Pay: $14/hour

Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college/university or May 2026 graduate

Internship Focus:
The Las Vegas field office for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a motivated summer intern to assist with our experiential fundraising initiatives. This role will focus on supporting two major projects: Viva St. Jude and the Las Vegas St. Jude Walk, while also working on an overall social media calendar for the Las Vegas social channels. Viva St. Jude is a multi-day fundraising event where the intern will assist staff in leading a volunteer committee, securing auction items, and creating impactful mission moments to help achieve revenue goals. The St. Jude Walk is a community-based, peer-to-peer fundraising event. The intern will support staff in recruiting and coaching participants, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure successful engagement and fundraising outcomes. Minority and diverse candidates, particularly Spanish bilingual candidates, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Support planning and execution of fundraising events.
Assist in meeting revenue goals through sponsorships and donations.
Help secure auction items and enhance event experiences.
Recruit and coordinate logistics, teams, and volunteers for the St. Jude Walk.
Develop a social media plan to promote events and share St. Jude’s mission.
Projects include:
Viva St. Jude: Help secure sponsorships, donations, table sales, and auction items. Build a social media plan and engage past supporters. Attend committee meetings and assist lead staff in meeting revenue goals.
St. Jude Walk: Recruit participants and volunteers, share event updates, and support committee efforts to meet fundraising goals.
General Tasks: Call donors, conduct research, write thank-you cards, assist with event logistics, and manage supplies.
Preferred Skills: Must be comfortable with Zoom, Teams and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently
Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously
Familiar with social media, including Facebook and Instagram
Comfortable with interacting with adults at different professional levels and engaging with volunteers and committee members
Majors preferred: Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, Psychology, Sociology
