Web Specialist

Job Description

As our Web/UX Specialist, you'll drive the ongoing maintenance, strategic updates, and development enhancements that improve engagement across Chamberlain University's websites. This isn't just a content updater role—you'll own website optimizations, build high-impact pages, write technical development tickets, and conduct thorough QA to ensure every digital touchpoint performs flawlessly.

You'll be the connector between marketing business owners and technical teams, collaborating cross-functionally with institutional stakeholders who depend on your expertise to bring their vision to life. Technical Development & Maintenance

  • Works within an Agile framework (sprints, backlog grooming)
  • Writes technical tickets for features, bugs, and enhancements
  • Conducts QA testing on Drupal components and releases
  • Translates Figma designs into functional web implementations

Content & Website Management

  • Primary responsibility for content updates across Chamberlain websites
  • Builds pages using Drupal Lightning Builder
  • Ensures website maintenance and accuracy

Optimization & Compliance

  • Identifies opportunities for improved usability and ADA compliance
  • Leverages third-party tools for visibility and optimization
  • Focuses on enhancing website engagement metrics

Collaboration

  • Works with marketing stakeholders on digital initiatives
  • Partners with IT/development teams on testing and documentation
  • Coordinates with external vendors and agencies

Key Skills Required

  • Navigate both technical and creative aspects of web development
  • Communicate effectively across multiple departments
  • Balance ongoing maintenance with new development projects
  • Stay current with evolving web technologies and best practices
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
  • Ability and experience adapting to changing priorities based on organizational needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Additional Information

 

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $49,199.33 and $88,841.36. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
