Software Development Intern

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Software Development Intern to join our technology team. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the proprietary tools and data pipelines that power our investment strategies. You will gain practical experience working on mission-critical applications in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in developing and improving internal software tools used for deal sourcing, data analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Build and maintain scripts, APIs, or integrations that enhance team productivity and data access.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of databases, dashboards, and documentation systems.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and provide timely technical support to team members.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and develop technical solutions.
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing procedures, and best practices for version control.
  • Participate in weekly sprint cycles and provide progress updates in a remote collaborative environment.
     

 Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures.
    Experience with at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or similar).
  • Basic familiarity with APIs, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and version control tools (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
