Corporate Affairs Summer Intern

Job Title: Corporate Affairs Summer Intern 

Department: Corporate Affairs 

 

Role & Responsibilities: The LVMH North America Corporate Affairs department is currently seeking a summer intern interested in playing an important role in LVMH Inc.’s public and government affairs function in the United States. The position will actively contribute to the day-to-day work of the Corporate Affairs team by ensuring that relevant legislative and political developments are analyzed and captured. This will be achieved through Federal, state, and local government relations via trade associations and potential direct representation, issues monitoring and reporting. The primary areas of focus are brand protection, trade environmental and social governance, and digital and tech. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:  

  • Further overall corporate affairs strategy and programs at LVMH through gathering intelligence on policy matters; analyzing legislative texts and executive actions; monitoring and documenting progression of proposals and creating visually impactful presentations. 
  • Engage with and inform the Corporate Affairs team on critical legislative and regulatory research findings. 
  • Prepare internal documents to communicate on topics of interest. 
  • Participate in external meetings, notably trade associations and reporting back to the Corporate Affairs team. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other relevant Departments and Houses and providing ongoing support to meet the general Corporate Affairs and business needs of LVMH. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Must have a passion for government affairs, international affairs, policy, or political science, with a focus on impact to retail and luxury markets. 
  • Demonstrate confidence and a client service-oriented approach to help build relationships among multiple stakeholders.   
  • Be comfortable with multi-tasking and dealing with ambiguity working in a fast-paced, multi-tiered corporate structure. 
  • Desire to understand government operations at Federal, state and local levels. 
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and accountability with the ability to maintain independence and confidentiality. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment, with sensitivity to and an understanding of cultural differences. 

 

Applicants must have valid authorization to work in the United States. This internship requires being willing and able to relocate to New York for the full duration of the program, and relocation will be the responsibility of the intern. Compensation for this role is fixed and non-negotiable.
