Engineering Summer Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and organize physical fixtures and fixturing drawings. Executing new systems with direction of Process Engineering Manager and Plant Manager.
  2. Conduct a uniformity study of IBC’s DLC coating on gear teeth and various aspect ratios. 
  3. Compile and create a reference sheet for diffusion processes (nitriding and powder), outlining recipe/materials and associated case properties. 
  4. Create a wear test matrix using IBC’s existing data in partnership with Tribology Lab personnel. 
  5. Additional tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor. 
  6. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Requirements:

  1. U.S. citizenship or U.S. green card required. 
  2. Minimum completion of two years of college (Desired degree: materials, materials science, and/or metallurgical engineering).
  3. College GPA minimum of 3.0.
  4. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  5. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
