Engineering Summer Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and organize physical fixtures and fixturing drawings. Executing new systems with direction of Process Engineering Manager and Plant Manager.
- Conduct a uniformity study of IBC’s DLC coating on gear teeth and various aspect ratios.
- Compile and create a reference sheet for diffusion processes (nitriding and powder), outlining recipe/materials and associated case properties.
- Create a wear test matrix using IBC’s existing data in partnership with Tribology Lab personnel.
- Additional tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor.
- Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.
Job Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. green card required.
- Minimum completion of two years of college (Desired degree: materials, materials science, and/or metallurgical engineering).
- College GPA minimum of 3.0.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
