Case Management Virtual Intern
Title: Case Management Intern
Department: Community Department
Internship Supervisor: Associate Director Katherine Campbell. Expertise in Human Service, Executive Leadership, and Program / Project Management.
Task Supervisor: Program Manager, Tanequa Moore, t.moore@iraiseinc.org, Expertise in Program / Project Management, Social Work, and Case Intakes.
Hours: 10 to 15 hours per week for 4-6 months
Location: Virtual

Summary: As a Case Management intern you will be working with our full-time Program Manager and a small group of 4 to 5 volunteers and interns.
Daily life of a case management virtual intern:
- Interact with and supports faculty, students, school administrators, and alumni to support the mission and goals of the Community Departments and Programs.
- Demonstrate an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds
- Identify, evaluate, and propose solutions to our community-focused program areas that need special attention
- Collaborate with the Community Department team to come up with strategies to help our program and services succeed
- Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of our non-profit organization
- Manage program evaluation activities, including feedback from students, parents, interns, and volunteers in our program
- Help with matching; mentee : mentor | tutee : tutor | mentee : coach
- Take a lead role in exploring community collaborations and developing supplemental support services for youth
- Ensure that program services are carried out, such as class and program activities
- Participate in intern development opportunities
- Organize group activities and attendance sheets
- Update school documentation ( i.e referral forms, and parent consent forms)
- Upload documentations on CMS [content management software - training provided by HR Department]
- Assist with collecting and organizing referral
- Assist with managing and organizing caseload
- Assist with organizing material for parent workshops and professional development workshops for teachers.
- Assist with keeping the spreadsheet data organized, and the google folder organized
- Other case management task as assigned
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
- College student working towards a degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Childhood Education or related fields
- Expertise in Google Suite (preferred)
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organization, and written skills

As this role is an unpaid internship role:
- Possible Internship Credit: For this internship, training, mentorship, feedback, and guidance are provided to you by a full-time Marketing Employee at the organization. Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship for academic credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
- Flexibility: This virtual internship allows flexibility to students in choosing their own start and end date
- Letter of recommendation/Reference letter provided upon completion of the internship (Performance Evaluation taken into consideration)
