Android Developer at Fuel Talent

The team is responsible for everything that happens on a mobile device when it's time for guests to prepare for their trip. We're seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build robust, intuitive, and high-performance Android features that power these crucial guest touchpoints. Your work will directly improve how millions of customers use the product.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and maintain Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Develop scalable and performant check-in workflows, notifications, and time-critical travel features.
• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in standups, sprint planning, retros, and pair programming.
• Uphold high standards of code quality, architecture, and maintainability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our Android engineering practices and app architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Experience shipping and supporting production Android apps.
• Solid understanding of Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, coroutines, and dependency injection.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working on Agile teams.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, .NET Core environments, or airline/travel products.
• Background in performance optimization and mobile app instrumentation.
• Knowledge of backend fundamentals (REST APIs, data models, caching strategies).
• Experience developing large-scale consumer mobile features with millions of users.
