Camp Mirage Troy is seeking a dynamic, organized, and child-centered Summer Camp Director to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure a safe, positive, and fun experience for campers and staff. This leadership role combines program management, staff supervision, parent communication, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily camp operations and ensure safety, supervision, and program quality
Lead, train, schedule, and support seasonal staff
Coordinate and evaluate camp activities and weekly programming
Manage parent communication and resolve concerns professionally
Implement and supervise emergency and safety procedures
Maintain records, incident reports, medication distribution, and compliance documentation
Oversee supplies, inventory, and daily site readiness
Build positive relationships with campers, families, and staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
Minimum 3 years of camp experience, including leadership or administrative roles
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience with classroom or camp management
Ability to lead teams, solve problems calmly, and model professionalism
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfortable working outdoors and participating in active supervision
