INTERNSHIP PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

The 2026 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering both Corporate and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

TEAM OVERVIEW:
The Intern Strategic Analytics role contributes to Ulta’s business strategy through the use of innovative analytic approaches on Ulta’s large and diverse datasets. This position helps analytical leaders influence business decisions made within multiple internal groups at Ulta including senior leadership. In this role, you will utilize data visualization and analytical capabilities to support the reporting needs for our Go to Market areas including Marketing, Loyalty, Digital, and Merchandising departments, seeing first-hand how a data-driven retailer structures reports to answer key business questions.


INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:
• Build automated and intuitive functional Power BI dashboards and visualizations that will enable business teams to understand and act on insights derived from Ulta Beauty’s complex datasets.
• Manipulate and analyze data from Ulta Beauty’s big data environment, including customer profile information, advertising results, and transaction data using SQL or similar tools.
• Identify process efficiencies and contribute to the migration of key stakeholder reporting from Tableau to Power BI.
• Actively listen to the needs of others (guests, partners, co-workers) to understand and provide accurate information or solutions.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Individuals pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Data Visualization in Power BI, SQL programming, and Data Analysis.
• Analytic thinking, collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - must be able to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Familiarity working with large relational databases like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Capable of working in a dynamic & fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, prioritizing appropriately and responding to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude.
• Energetic and self-motivated - must be extremely organized and detail oriented with an ability to make proactive recommendations.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2026.
• Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Proficiency in Data Visualization in Power BI, SQL programming, and Data Analysis.

The pay for this position is $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
