Retail Operations Intern

THE ROLE   

Legends Global Merchandise is looking for a resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious individual. This person will bring his/her administrative, communication and creativity skills to work closely with the Operations Manager and Store Manager to support The Ohio State retail team. This individual will assist with the day-to-day operations at all Team Shop locations across campus for all varsity sports. In turn, gaining valuable real-world experience and an understanding of both back-of and front-of house retail operations within college athletics.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Help prepare and run retail locations for all varsity athletic sporting retail stores including all OSU football game day locations during season.

Visually merchandise store locations to fit the location’s needs.

Help create social media content and campaigns

Complete projects given and present to leadership. 

 Communicate with Program Team to ensure availability of merchandise; maintain accurate inventory.

 Support the daily operational focus and initiatives by helping productivity.

 Assist in inventory and receiving merchandise.

 Assist with moving any equipment as required for events.

 Other tasks and projects assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Strong time management and project management skills; ability to multitask in a fast paced, environment.

Mandatory ability to work every OSU football home game.

Ability to work both in a team setting and individually.  

Resourceful, creative, innovative, intellectually curious.

Current college student with 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA (Fashion/Retail, Sports Industry, Hospitality or related field).

Able to lift to 50 pounds in weight.

Flexible schedule and availability for weekends and possibly holidays.

COMPENSATION

$15hr  

Class credit if desired

Internship Timeline 

Internship timeline – Summer

25-30 intern hours expected each week.
