Human Resources Engagement Intern
Remote Position - College Credit (if needed) - Unpaid
Time Commitment: 6-9 Months | ~10 hours/week (Seasonal/Temporary) Flexible schedule based on school requirements.
General Description:
The HR Engagement Intern will closely collaborate with the Head of People to oversee the Internship Team, reporting to the HR + Recruiting Lead Intern. Their primary responsibility is ensuring timely project completion through efficient communication. They will actively engage with Interns & Specialists to maintain team activity and connectivity. Working alongside the Head of People, the Engagement Manager will verify that all team members meet their monthly requirements. The ultimate aim is to uphold professional communication standards, fostering effective collaboration, ensuring engagement is upkept, and ensuring projects align with Digital4Good x #ICANHELP's mission.
Duties:
- Provide oversight of overall project management to ensure that quality and project scheduling requirements are met
- Develop systems to ensure consistent communication with interns/volunteers
- Maintain clear communication with team members on status of assigned project(s) through weekly meetings with the team and supervisor
- Oversee the Internship Teams, with support from the Head of People
- Coordinate quarterly work parties for specialists, interns, mentors, and industry partners, involving event planning, documentation updates, idea sharing, and project collaboration.
- Provide ideas to grow and improve the organization
- Research and gather documentation on the company's position in the industry
- Motivate and encourage Interns and Specialists through monthly shout-out posts (i.e. Intern Bucks and Points updates)
- Maintain and Manage the Engagement Point Matrix for monthly recognition of team members and prize distribution
- Attend weekly meetings with the HR team every Tuesday at 3PM PST
- Attend remote monthly meetings, on the 4th Sunday of the month, with the Intern Team and Executive Director
- Attend quarterly Advisory Steering Committee

Evaluation:
- Commitment: Participate in weekly meetings and check-ins (Minimum of 75% attendance)
- Timeliness and Organization: Track projects and meet all deadlines, or communicate with supervisor before setting new deadlines
- Brand Integrity: Maintain organization’s brand consistency by using brand voice and designated assets in public-facing communications
- Engagement: Accumulate points for engaging with organizational social media pages, attending workshops, attending work events, participating in marketing video/photo, filling out survey, and finishing a project/campaign
