Compensation: Starting at $400/week

Position Overview
The Summer Media & Storytelling Intern plays a vital role in telling the story of Lutherdale’s summer ministry. This intern captures daily life at camp through photography and video, helping families stay connected and sharing the impact of camp with our wider community through social media and digital platforms.
This position is ideal for someone interested in photography, videography, social media, or digital storytelling in a nonprofit or ministry setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph campers and daily activities across all program areas
- Upload and organize daily photos to Lutherdale’s photo-sharing platform (Waldo)
- Create weekly highlight videos and short-form social media content
- Develop and schedule posts for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Collaborate with program and leadership staff to capture meaningful moments
- Help tell the story of camp in a way that reflects Lutherdale’s mission and values
Learning Outcomes
Interns will gain experience in:
- Photography and videography in a fast-paced, people-centered environment
- Social media strategy and content creation
- Visual storytelling for nonprofit and faith-based organizations
- Working collaboratively within a summer camp ministry team
Qualifications
- Any experience level welcome; interest in photography/media required
- Experience with photo and video editing preferred
- Familiarity with Canva strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with children and in outdoor environments
- Able to manage daily deadlines and multiple projects
Equipment
- Lutherdale provides photography and video equipment
- Interns may use personal equipment at their discretion (Lutherdale is not responsible for personal equipment)
