IT Assistant Co-op

Summary: The IT Assistant/Co-op will assist the Information Technology team in providing technical support (helpdesk), maintaining systems, and contributing to IT projects. This role offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting and technology implementation within a professional environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Help monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and security tools.
  • Document processes, create user guides, and update IT knowledge base.
  • Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Occasional travel to other offices for IT related equipment set up and/or support.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

  • Passion for learning and growing technical skills to support different applications, workflows, and hardware.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with help desk systems or ticketing tools.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles. 

 

Physical Effort:

  • Physical agility to allow movement from place to place.
  • Physical strength to lift and transport computer materials and tools.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers.
  • Moderate level of physical exertion required.
  • Ability to provide your own transportation required.
