What You’ll Do  
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Quality and Production Engineering Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to meaningful projects that support operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support Production Engineers by contributing to project execution and daily operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Sustaining Engineering, and Production Supervisors to advance project goals.
  • Design and develop fixturing and tooling solutions to enhance production cell efficiency.
  • Create and revise factory floor layouts to optimize space utilization and workflow.
  • Engage directly with production cells and operators on the factory floor to observe, learn, and support operations.
  • Analyze cycle times for assemblies and unit production to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Measure and document improvements resulting from implemented changes to validate impact and support continuous improvement efforts.

Who You Are

  • Current student pursuing your bachelor's degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates a strong passion for engineering and a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to team objectives.
  • Committed to integrity, respect, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $22 - $26 an hour. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Working Conditions

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
