Adult Residential Treatment & Recreation Internship

Locations: Wareham and Yarmouth Port
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible to accommodate educational or experiential needs)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Latham Centers is seeking enthusiastic summer interns to support recreational and meaningful activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) within our group homes and community programs.

This internship provides hands-on experience in direct care and offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the impact of recreational programming in DDS group homes. Interns will:

Observe and assist in implementing tailored activities that meet the diverse needs of individuals.

Work under the guidance of a Residential House Manager to develop skills in client documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and direct support.

Contribute to innovative programming initiatives, including the Latham CBDS Without Walls program, promoting independence, inclusion, and enhanced quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Training & Requirements:

All necessary Latham trainings will be provided.

Interns should be able to work independently and responsibly.

A valid driver’s license is required to operate Latham vehicles if necessary.
