Marketing Communications Co-Op

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

 

The Mobility Group in Southfield, MI has an opening for a Marketing Communications Co-Op. This position is a 6-month co-op.
 

Summary of Responsibilities

The Marketing Communications Co-op is a 6-month position with the possibility of extension. This role supports marketing functions including social media management, event coordination, and content development. It offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, helping candidates build confidence, sharpen presentation skills, and grow professionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment..  

 

Essential Functions    
 
•    Working with marketing managers to generate content for social media; utilize corporate tools to create posts and manage social media accounts

•    Create reports, analyze data, and interpret results for management

•    Assisting in developing, evaluating, implementing, updating and maintaining various department websites, tools, programs and processes. 

•    Supporting event management (trade shows, webinars, etc)

•    Attending and participating in meetings and carrying out designated action items

•    Supporting projects and managing time for multiple assignments

Qualifications:

 

Basic Qualifications: 
•    Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in marketing, business, communications or advertising at an accredited university. 
•    Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (please do not round).
•    Must be at least 1 year away from graduation, 2 or more years preferred. (sophomore, junior, or senior are eligible)
•    Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Experience with digital marketing and social media management
•    Knowledge of adobe illustrator/photoshop or Canva experience

Position Criteria:

 

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); working knowledge of SharePoint is encourage but not required
•    Ability to communicate across the function and collaborate with peers
•    Attention to detail
•    Thinks and acts strategically
•    Takes direction quickly and is self-motivated
•    Confidence to present ideas and network with internal organization
