Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our tax team during the busy tax season. This role provides hands-on exposure to public accounting, tax preparation, and firm operations, working closely with experienced CPAs and senior accountants.
This internship is ideal for accounting students looking to gain practical, real-world experience in a professional accounting firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, etc.)
Organize, review, and process client tax documents and workpapers
Enter financial and tax data accurately into tax software
Assist with bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks as needed
Support accountants and CPAs with administrative and tax-season tasks
Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
Help ensure tax deadlines are met during peak season
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Junior, senior, or graduate-level students preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting concepts
Professional communication skills and a strong work ethic
Prior tax or accounting experience is a plus but not required
