Summary
The Wastewater Operations (WRRF) Intern will assist the Operations Team in supporting day-to-day plant activities and performance initiatives. The intern will help update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), track and analyze chemical usage, and contribute to operational data review projects to support continuous improvement across the facility.
Job Responsibilities
• Review and update current SOPs to ensure accuracy and consistency with plant operations.
• Track chemical usage across process areas and assist in compiling monthly summaries.
• Identify, review, and update end-of-shift reports to improve data quality and operational reporting.
• Assist in analyzing plant operational data to evaluate process performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Take on additional tasks or projects to gain experience in wastewater treatment processes and other areas of WRRF operations.
Required Education and Experience
At the time of application, applicants must:
• Currently enrolled in an associate, bachelors or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university
• Currently enrolled in a related degree program to the internship in which they are applying
• A student in good standing and classified by their institution as a rising sophomore or higher
• Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week
• Able to commit to the intern position for a minimum of two months
