Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SAS Programmer with a master’s degree or above to join our dynamic data analytics team. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of hands-on experience in developing, testing, and validating SAS programs for data management, statistical analysis, and reporting. Proficiency in SAS is a must, while experience with R, SQL, or Python will be considered a strong plus. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business decision-making and research objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, debug, and validate SAS programs for data cleaning, manipulation, integration, and statistical analysis.
2. Collaborate with biostatisticians, data managers, and business stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions.
3. Generate standard and ad-hoc reports, tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) using SAS, ensuring compliance with data governance policies and industry standards (e.g., CDISC for pharmaceutical projects if applicable).
4. Utilize SQL for database querying, data extraction, and data validation from relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
5. Support the implementation of statistical methods by writing code to execute analyses; assist in interpreting results and preparing analysis summaries.
6. Maintain version control of programs and documentation; develop clear technical specifications and user manuals for all deliverables.
7. Troubleshoot data and programming issues; conduct quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
8. Stay updated with the latest SAS features, programming best practices, and industry trends; explore opportunities to optimize existing processes using R, Python, or other tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

- Master’s degree or above in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

- 1–5 years of professional experience in SAS programming for data analytics, statistical analysis, or data management projects.
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, clinical research) is a plus.

Technical Skills

- Expert-level proficiency in SAS (Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS Enterprise Guide) is required.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with R or Python for data analysis and visualization is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of data standards (e.g., CDISC SDTM/ADaM) is preferred for life sciences-related roles.
- Ability to write efficient, well-documented, and reusable code.
- Experience with data validation, quality control, and error resolution.
