Construction Safety Internship
Walbridge offers a Summer Construction Safety Internship program designed to provide meaningful hands-on work experience and exposure to industry leaders across the organization.
You will play a hands-on role in ensuring the highest standards of safety on World-Class construction projects. Walbridge’s award-winning safety program consistently delivers industry leading safety results. Thinking, demanding and delivering safety in all aspects of business is our No. 1 core value.
Location: You will work from a Walbridge job site in the US.
Our goal is to provide professional experience for talented construction and safety students as a path for a full-time career with Walbridge upon graduation.
Our internships are competitive, paid positions throughout the typical summer months. Part-time work opportunities may also be available throughout the school year for those who qualify.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of on-site safety and exposure monitoring to a variety of health hazards within construction.
- Assist in development of a comprehensive Corporate Industrial Hygiene program that complies with pertinent regulatory standards.
- Assist Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators with project-related Health hazards and mitigation
- Audit and develop corrective actions pertaining to Health-related hazards on projects in a variety of construction disciplines
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a safety related degree program (Environmental Health Science, Masters of Public Health and Environmental Health Science, Occupational Safety & Environmental Health) at an accredited college/university; prior construction or safety experience or military service a plus.
- Knowledge of technology, computers and software, including standard MS Office applications
