Dance Instructor

Located in the Adirondacks, Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is looking for Dance Instructors to teach safe, age-appropriate dance, help campers build skills and confidence, and create a fun, positive dance experience. Dance Instructors may serve as in-bunk staff depending on camp needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach daily dance classes using technique, choreography, and creative movement
• Adapt instruction for different ages, skill levels, and styles
• Promote safe dance practices, including warm-ups and stretching
• Supervise campers to ensure safety and positive participation
• Create simple routines for performances or camp events
• Maintain dance equipment and activity space
• Participate in camp-wide activities and special events

Qualifications

• Experience teaching dance to children or teens (any style).
• Knowledge of dance safety and injury prevention.
• Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.

Accommodation and food is provided throughout the duration of the summer.
