Internship Program Requirements: 

  • Educational Background: Pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation between December 2026 and Summer 2028. Must have an overall 2.8GPA (change if you need to)
  • Transportation: Interns must have their own reliable transportation to and from work. 
  • Geographical Flexibility: Flexible to relocate to ADM site for the summer.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required. 
  • Availability: Must be available for a summer internship from mid-May to early August 2026. 
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Job Summary
ADM is seeking a proactive and motivated Human Resources Intern to join our team in Decatur, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations (manufacturing) while supporting the North American Operations (Manufacturing) team. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable in a dynamic, plant-based environment and eager to develop as an HR generalist.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including hiring, onboarding, training, and compliance with labor laws
  • Support employee assessments and maintain updated welcome and onboarding documentation
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to wages, benefits, time tracking, and company policies
  • Maintain and organize HR files to ensure accurate and up-to-date records

What You’ll Learn:

  • Core HR strategies, systems, and operational practices
  • Best practices for employee development and performance management
  • Ensuring legal compliance and applying company policies
  • Practical HR experience in a plant-based environment




Requirements:

  • Pursuing a four-year degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field with an expected graduation between December 2026 and Summer 2027; minimum 2.8 GPA
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with HR systems or metrics is a plus

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
