The Role at a Glance

Are you a college student passionate about building modern, scalable applications and learning API integration? This is an opportunity for hands-on experience in full-stack development and integration within the Wholesaler Experience team, supporting Lincoln's Distribution and Marketing Technology organization. You’ll gain exposure to enterprise-level platforms like Salesforce, MuleSoft, and AWS, while learning from experienced engineers in an agile, DevOps-driven environment.

The role is part of Lincoln’s Emerging Technologist Program (ETP), a two-year early career development initiative designed to accelerate the growth of future-ready IT professionals

 

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with the Wholesaler Experience Value Stream team to support Salesforce and MuleSoft development initiatives
  • Assist in building and customizing applications on the Salesforce Platform using declarative tools and programmatic capabilities (Apex, Lightning Components)
  • Learn and contribute to API-led integration projects using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, connecting Salesforce with other enterprise systems
  • Gain hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using GitLab
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
  • Explore cloud technologies and integration patterns with AWS and other enterprise platforms
  • Document work and follow best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment

What we’re looking for

Must-haves: 

  • Senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Strong interest in CRM development, API integration, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities

Nice-to-haves (Preferred):   

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Platform (Apex, Lightning Components, declarative tools).
  • Exposure to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or API-led integration concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Java, SQL, or RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with GitLab or other version control systems.
  • Interest in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
