Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview 

This position entails a hands-on learning experience in the Seating Application Engineering Team 

as a summer intern. General support for Seating Application Engineering Team 

for development and launching programs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Assist Product Engineers with miscellaneous tasks including problem solving and root causing of issues and concerns.  Generally hands-on tasks including occasional seat assembly and disassembly, running trials of parts and solutions, seat testing and evaluation.  Some running of parts from one location to another in the metropolitan area (mileage reimbursed). Primarily based in our Novi location but may involve assistance with tasks at Magna Seating Auburn Hills. Possible assistance with computer related tasks such as reports and studies.

Education / Experience 

High School Diploma 

Currently Attending a College or University 

Engineering / Technical related field of study is a plus 

Special Knowledge / Skills:  

Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentations.  

Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines. 

Knowledge with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook   

Physical Demands / Work Environment:  

Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
