Finance Systems Intern - D&IT

Job Summary

As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch in Financial Applications Portfolio Management team in Overland Park, KS. you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients’ goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • To demonstrate leadership and adaptability, with the willingness to take ownership of Projects and tasks
  • Support development project plans and execution of deliverables such as resources, timing/milestones, and risks
  • The ability to achieve goals and success across functionalities
  • Ability to research key business issues and help team determine and implement options to address issues

 

Learning Opportunities:

  • Assist with Oracle Fusion Future Capability Roadmap
  • Assist with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Implementation Project
  • Review Oracle Fusion Administration Best Practices with Recommendations
  • Support Remediation of Finance Application Vulnerabilities
  • Perform Monthly License Usage Analysis
  • Assist with Success Navigator discovery and implementation
  • Assist with ITGC Back Up Data Solution Project
  • Support Implementation of Teams Integration with Oracle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working on Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related major
  • Finance or Accounting interest, Finance technology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in data and produce relevant visualization.
  • Ability to research business issues
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and the desire to learn.

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in Information Technology or related degree program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This internship position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
